If anything your new gen should be slightly better (more cache and whatnot). The fact other games accept it well doesn't mean you have a bad chip. This is slightly confusing. cryonic (DayZ) 0 Posted January 7, 2015 Same here with 5820K @ 4,5GHz and GTX 970 (hard OC). This rig can kick the shit out of every game i can throw at it, but dayz just doesnt want to run smooth. I drop below 30 FPS, even with lower settings than i should use.
deebz1234 243 Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) wow, between this forum and overclockers ive found a ton of SA players with the 3 x99 cpu's that have issues. compared to a dedicated 4core system... dev's want to chime in? deebz1234 243 Posted January 8, 2015 tldr make sure you spend 8 hours configuring dayz and arma 3 for 6core use http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/218539-performance-issues/#entry2197074
deebz1234 243 Posted January 8, 2015 turn power settings to high power in windows! just gained 15 fps from that. so stupid! the cpu jumps back and forth from 3.3ghz to 4.3 ghz, even if the majority is 4.3ghz, switched power modes and got arma 3 to a stead 70 fps!
