Karmaterror 982 Posted December 27, 2014 Been discussed a lot recently, big thread about it I general. Personally I say no. The mag is the most important gun upgrade piece. It does more for your combat effectiveness than a scope or bipod or any other attatchment. sachad 1016 Posted December 27, 2014 There's plenty of guns that don't require magazines. SKS, Mosin, Repeater, Winchester (?), Magnum, both shotguns, and the Derringer. Crossbow and improvised bow too, if that's your thing. That selection includes all my favorite guns, and one of the main reasons is precisely because they can be operated without the need to find magazines. For them, things like speed loaders and clips are bonuses, not requirements. And when talking about the military-grade guns, you'll typically have the mags before the gun. I've found 4 AKM mags but no gun. 2 CMAGs but no M4 or AUG. And I found the FNX clip before I found my FNX. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
cheeseburger8 80 Posted December 27, 2014 I think this is left out of the game as far as programming is concerned... but as far as what another player does, that determines whether you find a loaded gun or not. I've been in the Novo clocktower and 4 times have I found a loaded shotgun or sporter... so it depends on players, much like the rest of DayZ... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
