Won't launch and keeps updating 4MB.

Hello,

I was playing fine all day yesterday, I come to play today and my DayZ just won't launch. I click launch on steam and nothing happens. I have verified the cache in steam and it says I am missing 1 file. It downloads 4.0MB file and I press launch again and it just keeps downloading 4MB. I relaunch steam and it says update paused but I have downloaded it.

I have restarted my PC and ran as administrator. It won't launch and keeps saying update paused but I don't need to update? I have changed absolutely nothing since last night. I shut down my PC and started it up today and it just won't work. Super sad :(

Not sure, but things to try:

 

- Run a checkdisk to make sure you don't have any drive errors.

- Try reinstalling the entire game, in case some file ownership/rights got mixed up and that prevents the update file from being written.

 

I honestly don't think these _are_ the culprits, but it's the only thing I can think of right now. I'll chip in if I can think of anything else.
