Steam/1.5.7 User has modified missions file error!

Recommended Posts

So I've had all sorts of problems even getting this to run. I'm running Steam, I've reinstalled Battleye with both Steam's built-in install, as well as manually updating the .dll

I have tried it with the addon files BOTH in steamapps\common\arma 2\addons as well as steamapps\common\arma 2 oa\@dayz\addons, as well as keeping copies in both places at once.

I currently can get into a server, but as soon as I click to join a team and enter the game I am kicked back to the server selection screen with an error that reads:

username: username uses modified data file: H:\Win7\\Appdata\Local\Arma 2 OA\MPMissionscache\_______

and the blank space at the end has been several different mission filenames such as "dayz_114.chenarus.pbo"

When I go to that location in the Appdata folder, I find nothing.

Only other pertinent information would be that, as you can obviously see, I have changed the default location of my Appdata folder, but that's not apparently a problem. :(

Delete all DayZ files, download them again and reinstall the mod.

Negative, no success. Deleted ALL instances of mod files, tried them in several places alone, and all the spots together. Same error.

- Delete MPMissionscache folder

- Verify game files. Right click ARMA 2 in STEAM - 'Properties' - 'Local Files' - 'Verify integrity of game cache'.

If that doesn't work delete and re-install the game ?
