Help needed please

I am currently encountering a problem where i attempt to open Dayz but the game tries to load up and then cancels and displays the error message "Failed to start game (app already running). I have tried to check task manager to close the Dayz.exe but the only thing relating to Dayz i can find is battlEye launcher, upon closing this the same error happens. i have tried restarting my computer and also uninstalling Dayz. If anyone know a fix for this problem it would be greatly appreciated if you can let me know about it. Thank you

I had this problem the other day, it would not launch and I tried ending the Battle Eye Launcher process and retrying to no avail.  Eventually I did a Verify Game Cache and it downloaded 113 Files, however, this did not fix the issue.  After a restart I was able to launch the game.  I know you reinstalled, but I would try a verify game cache and then restart if that does not work.  Sorry that is all I have to contribute from my experience.

 

To verify game cache, right click the game in your library, goto Properties.  Select the Local Files tab up top, then press, Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
