Light fire with flares

I was thinking:

 

Why can't I use a road flare to light a fireplace? It is possible in real life and would save your hungry/cold ass ingame if you have no matches.

I don't know if it would just work like the matches via rightclick menu, or by throwing onto a fireplace or into a barrel lights it up.

(side remark: can barrels currently be lit without matches? I never actually tried to do that)

 

I know the delicate game balance of matches would be disturbed, as flares are common and the rareness of matches is being used to control the hunting possibilites. But still, having a perfect ignition source (way better than a match) and not being able to light a fire with it is a bit annoying.
