notofthiswar 8 Posted December 3, 2014 So DayZ does not wan't to start up through steam after this update. I was on it last night before the update as well as tried to get on it when the update was happening not realizing there was an update....This was at id say around 5 am est Wed Dec 3rd.So i go to bed and i wake up go through what i normally do, Get on my computer and go to try out this new patch in stable and I can not. What is does is basically just nothing. I click play, Steam lights up in green around my name at the bottom right and then goes back to blue and nothing opens up...I re installed the game, I verified the game. I changed it over to Experimental and then back to stable and nothing....nothing worked. Nothing comes up about battle eye so yeah i do not figure that is the problem

GtaSoldierBoy 11 Posted December 3, 2014 There is no good fixes for these problems, you just pray that the next patch will make it so you can play. It's kind of ridiculous, Don't feel too depressed happend to me too. Also Day Z randomly decides to work and not work, give it a bit of time it will most likely install things realizing that something is wrong and will work. If this continues feel free to go to dayzfeedback forums, admins there will answer and help you.

I have no idea why it won't run! It's been months and this issue has still not been fixed. I don't know if this is a steam issue or a DayZ issue.
dkmintz 28 Posted December 5, 2014 Hey man, you tried disabling any background prog's that may use overlays? I was having this issue, dayz is not responding etc, but it was the Teamspeak overlay plug-in that was causing the problem.
