Deleted my Character/Gear

I haven't played in a few months, but I have also done this once before and my character's gear was still there. So when i launch the game it has your character and shows all his gear, guns, clothing. When i pick a server and load up I no longer have any gear and am a freshspawn. No, I didnt choose a 1st person server. Need help....... Had so much ammo and good gear.

Did you join a private shard server and or were your previously on one?

You said its been months since you logged in, by chance was that character from .49 stable build? When they patched to .50 stable, there was a wipe of existing characters. Sucks but its not hard to loot up again
