Player Stats Not Appearing

In the inventory screen, should it say my stats constantly? It will tell me when I'm thirsty or hungry but then it'll disappear once I eat or drink. I've been attacked though and I know I'm hurt cause my screen is blurry but it's not telling me my health has gone down. Is this normal or do I need to set something in the settings/configuration?

Depends, it will tell you if you're hungry, thirsty, bleeding, sick, stuffed and if you have a broken limb. When you're hungry/thirsty and you eat or drink, those status indicators may go away temporarily. If you are hurt or low on blood the only indication you will get is the blurry screen. When you eat and drink enough to get yourself light green energised and light green hydrated you will get the healing/healthy status. You will start to regain blood/health when this happens but it can take a few to get back to normal.

Edit: it also tells you if you're cold, hot or if you have hypothermia and hyperthermia
