Hacks?

So I'm fairly new to the game and still not sure what is hacks, bugs or normal.

Yesterday, I was making my way to the Balota airfield and as I looked back, my crosshairs showed a BTR-90 back near Cherno. I thought, "huh, didn't realise they're in the game, but there's no way I'm going to check it out" and continued towards the airfield. On the way, I started getting a graphics bug where it looked like the entire horizon was on fire. As I got close to the airfield I saw why: sitting on the airstrip were two intact C-130Js and one burnt out fuselage. I thought, "awesome, this must be like the helicopter crashes I've heard about, time to get some loot." Went up to the planes and each had 20 STANAG mags in them, nothing else. But then I also realised I could get into the planes. Got in, seemed to be in good condition with lots of fuel, and I turned the engine on, but as both of the planes were pressed up against the aforementioned fuselage I couldn't move them.

So I got out, saw someone either prone or dead near the airfield buildings and I went prone to try and sneak round the back towards them. I also wanted to check something on the wiki, so I alt tabbed before heading towards him. Just after I tabbed back in, someone either walked up to behind me or spawned there, but they were only a few metres away and they hadn't seen me. I decided it wasn't worth the risk of being friendly so I put about 10 AKS-74 rounds into their torso. Saw lots of blood come out, but nothing happened. They then slowly turned around and shot me in the face.

When I respawned, I was near Cherno, so I started running straight to the airfield to find my gear and get revenge. However, I couldn't loot my body for some reason. (Why is this, by the way?) Figured I may as well check the buildings for a weapon, and went inside one but didn't find anything. Then I heard movement outside and went prone in the corner. The person who had killed me then walked into the doorway and casually walked towards my prone body without doing much. Hoping they didn't recognise me as the person they'd killed minutes earlier, I said "friendly" on chat, and was greeted by some more bullets. BUT, the interesting thing here is that I'm almost certain the gun the person was carrying was an AA-12. I got a decent look at it while they were walking towards me and I could definitely make out the shape of a drum magazine and a sort of carbine-ish shape.

So basically, the questions that this raised for me:

1) Are BTR-90s in the game or was that hacked in?

2) Are C-130J crashes a legitimate event or was that also hacked in?

3) Would the invincibility of that person be hacks, a glitch or terrible lag? (the server had been a bit laggy previously)

4) Is there an AA-12? If not, could that gun have been something else or was it hacked in?

5) Why couldn't I loot my dead body?

And he probably used a teleport hack to spawn next to you.

DayZ is buggy as shit. Maybe it was the hacks, maybe not.

A BattlEye bypass hack was just released, so there is a giant influx of hackers right now. I'm not sure they'll ever be able to stop hackers in Arma 2... not sure BattlEye is a pro enough company.

Hopefully they made some changes to the multiplayer structure of Arma 3, because right now it just blindly trusts anything a client passes to it...

none of those items or vehicles are in game. as far as shooting someone and them not dying, it COULD be hacks but often times its lag. no idea why you couldnt loot your body though.

I get depressed everytime I read a thread like this. Hackers are destroying an awesome game...again.

Heh lots of hacks, thought so. Thanks guys, now I know if I see any of that stuff again to find a new server straight away instead of waiting to get myself killed.
