Frequent lag pauses, poor connection to server

Recommended Posts

Which version of the game did you purchase? STEAM or RETAIL or MIXED:

steam

Are you running an Arma 2 OA beta patch? If so what version?:

94364(build friends told me to run after having issues with current build, they run the same one)

Which method are you using to launch the game? I.E Sixupdater/steam/batch file:

steam

What is the Error/Problem you're having? Please provide screenshots if possible:

I get constant couple seconds freezes anywhere and then freezes every minute or so that last over a minute themselves. After the long freezes I usually lose connection to the server and I am kicked. Lag is heavier closer to building and zombies/while looting. Lag is still very present while roaming the empty forest. I have tried both servers outside my area(EU) and servers here in the US. These freezes happen in both night and day time.

Your PC specs:

Dual gtx 460s

EVGA X58 mobo

intel i7 w/ hyper threading(8 cores total)

I dont feel this is an issue with my computer and after restarting my router, neither my internet. Getting this mod to even start and able to join a server took me all day trouble shooting but I cant seem to solve this issue, thanks for any help.

Thank you for the solution I hope it works but after restarting my computer I am now faced with the "Error creating Direct3D 9 graphical engine" when trying to boot the game.

I launched steam as an admin and have verified integrity of game files, maybe Ill try another beta build. Its a true shame I spent 30 dollars before looking into the issues this mod has, I guess Im a sucker for post-apocalyptic games and this one seemed good, bummer.

Beta fixed that issue but I am still faced with massive freezing and lag.

I get this error in the middle of the screen telling me I havnt recieved a message in "x" amount of seconds before I d/c aswell if that helps.
