DayZ stuck at 'Wait a moment' screen on startup

Recommended Posts

Yo, just made an account because i need some help. I've had DayZ for a while but i haven't played it, so i went ahead and tried to start it up. It starts up on extremely low resolution, and then gets to a black screen with 'wait a moment' at the top left and the dayz logo in the middle, but it doesn't go past that. I've waited 5, 10, 15 minutes and it just sits there. If i try to alt-tab out and then go back, it crashes. Since i had it installed for a while i though it might be the installation, so i uninstalled it completely, deleted the game folder, deleted the DayZ config folder in My Documents, and reinstalled the game, but when i try to start it up the same thing happens. Anyone have any suggestions on how i can get this fixed? The screenshots show how low resolution the game is when i start it, and how far it gets into starting.

Have you tried different servers? I have it every now and then when I attempt to load a server with a 0 population, it could sit there all day at times, but when I choose one with people on it, it typically loads right up.  Just a thought at least.
