Hey guys, so whilst Arma 2 is installing, I have a few questions regarding the game.

How does communication work? are the chat servers global or just around your local vicinity? Does the same apply for voice communication? Is there a built in voice communication system?

Some of them have global chat, others don't it just depends really. There are several channels of communication, you'll be using direct chat the most, but in order to use that you'll need to install the beta patch. If you have a microphone and you use it, it will go along way to keeping you alive in the harsh world of Day Z.
