Not that I don't love the 1866 Remington, but perhaps the 'gun that tamed the old west', doesn't really belong in a post Soviet satellite state.

I think in the name of local flavour it should be replaced by the Mosinka.

Perhaps it could utilise .303 ammo , or have its own.

What ever the designer thinks best.
