Huge problem with DayZ Mod, someone please help

Recommended Posts

So I just got the Arma 2 bundle on steam and I've been trying to play Dayz, so my friend told me to download Arma 2, Operation Arrowhead, and Dayz Mod. So I did so and then I downloaded DayZCommander, I tried to open it when it got stuck on a loading screen and said this,

"Something went really wrong, DayZCommander is being forced to close!
Would you like to automatically restart DayZCommander?
System.IO.FileNotFoundException Unable to find the specified file."

then it just lists a bunch of files. I'd rather not waste the money I bought this game with so if someone could help me out here it would be greatly appreciated.

I have attached an image of what the message looks like, I hope that helps. Thank you.

Basically you have a huge problem with dayzcommander, which is not part of dayzmod.

Don't use this tool.

To play dayzmod, just launch the game via steam, then click on "multi-player" button, then choose a server with "dayzmod" as mission name and "1.8.2" in the server name

To play a mod of dayzmod, such Epoch, download dayzlauncher, which will help you to keep the different files up-to-date.
