wuffi (DayZ) 18 Posted November 4, 2014 Ok i took a 4 month break from dayz...But today i thought i should give it a try again (because i love the idea of dayz)OK the game was allways laggy and bugged when i took the brake(especially in big cities)but right now i get disconnected every 5 minutes + if this does not happen i get weird graphic failures all the timeand then the game becomes a slide show,My record now is 10 minutes without getting disconnected or the game just freezes with really weird graphic failures. (ok in therory i still can play it once it freezes because hey i still get about 1-2 frames per second)btw. i used the same hardware 4 month ago (and back then it was at least playable).... airfell 179 Posted November 4, 2014 sounds like there could be lots of variables- your config files may be corrupt, game files could be corrupt, could be bad settings, or hardware issues. Try to verify files in steam and make sure your drivers are up to date. I had left for about 6 months but came back a couple weeks ago and I've had the opposite happen. I used to get a good 20fps, now I'm running 40-60.
wuffi (DayZ) 18 Posted November 4, 2014 Well i can definitely rule out hardware problems because all other games "even on way higher settings" run as usuall. And as said dayz was far away from running perfect when i took the brake but at least it was playable,Right now even on low graphic settings (something i never used 4 month ago) the game becomes a slide show after 5-10 minutes.(ok usually i get the "not responding message" after 3-4 minutes first ;)
Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted November 4, 2014 Posting your actual PC specs is a start. Also, there is a troubleshooting section on the forums http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/126-troubleshooting/
