Extremem lag on High pop servers?

Hey all just a simple inquiry, was playing SA with some friends earlier today and we decided to try our luck on a maxed out high pop server. To say it was laggy would be an understatement. It was un-playable. Every 15-20 seconds we would lose connection to our server (simultaneously) for about 10-15 seconds. Then the server would pick the connection back up and all of us would lag teleport all over the place (simultaneously).

 

We connected to 3 other high high pop Aussie servers to see if all would be this laggy. They were.

 

So just though id ask, are any other Aussie's out there experiencing similar issues? Are all high pop servers this laggy? Even those that are situated in countries whose governments have had the intelligence to implement a fibre optic network? haha

 

Perhaps the dayz hub just happened to be having network issues when we tried to play?

 

Anyway, some thoughts from the rest of you would be nice.

Still having this issue, could perhaps be that everyone I play with has crap internet.

If you press P while in game it will show the players list, do this then click your username, some of your friends, and some randoms. Pay attention to bandwidth and desync. Both should be as close to 0 as possible. This may help you find a server that runs well for you.

I have read that maybe alot of the lag players are experiencing is related to "container inception".

Ex there is some clan on the server, and they all have handguns inside hoodies inside jackets inside their pants. I figure as the player count goes up, so does the chance that someone is doing this. What makes it worse is that most of the players doing this take it to the extreme.
