Question about .50 patch

Hi,

 

I have the early access Alpha via Steam but notice that when I log on to DayZ the version in the top right is 0.49124972? Is there something that I need to download to get to .50? Sorry for the silly question.

If you really wanna play 0.50 opt in to Experimental.

You can get .50 by swapping to the experimental branch. How to change to the experimental branch is included in the faq

But as ChainReactor pointed out, The .50 stable branch release has been delayed for the time being, it'll probably come out in a week maybe less. When that happens steam will automatically update you.

Also if you choose to join the experimental branch remember these things. 

• They wipe your character after almost every patch, big or small
• The servers can be crazy unstable
• The developers can break the game in new and unusual ways, it was HYPERthermia day yesterday....
• You need to opt out and download the stable patch (often a few hundred MB) to play on your old characters/with friends not on experimental

 

 

Or you can just wait for it to be pushed to stable :)
