Rain and FPS

There are some servers where the rain basically never ends, it only stops for a couple of seconds here and there. I don't have a strong pc so the rain is eating all my fps and cause of it I have massive fps spikes. Being lagg free every 15 sec for just a bit it's unplayable for me. So my question would be, is it possible to somehow, through options, visually turn it off or if anyone know some active servers with more likable weather :)

So my only options are servers with nice weather, anyone know a couple of those that are active as well. I have no problem staying alive on shitty weather, its just unplayable for me, fps wise.
