Arma 2 Combined Ops and DayZ freezing

Hello fellow survivors i am currently having an issue with the game freezing for a few seconds every five or so minutes. About 2 months ago when i uninstalled arma II i never had such trouble with it. I even tried lowering the graphical settings to minimum but it didn't help

My PC specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.2Ghz

GeForce GTX 280 AMP!

4gb of Ram

I need this issue resolved, can't play the game like this.
