Mr Muggles 19 Posted June 30, 2012 I play with a group and if one of us has to leave then we all have to stop playing the game till they come back.If i'm playing with just one of the group, same thing. Sometimes we play for 4/5 hours together and then we call it quits but then one of us might want to play some more, with another group, he can't.Let's say it's the middle of the day in England and i'm up for a few hours, he's in Auz. If he wants to leave I can't play the game because if I die all our progress will be lost.Is this being considered in future game development?
outlawxxable 10 Posted June 30, 2012 multiple characters will make players have a character to be there "mule" witch will hold all there gear. also they could just create a different character to run into a city and grab as much as possible without worrying of dying. waylander (DayZ) 0 Posted June 30, 2012 +1I have the same issue with my group. In the game menu you can change the player profile. So it looks like arma 2 has the option so i dont think it would be that hard to setup.
LukasBrasil 0 Posted June 30, 2012 +1, but restrict it to a max of 2 per player so it does not get abused.
Izziee 128 Posted June 30, 2012 Yes but only on individual realms. That would also stop people disconnecting, joining another, moving, reconnecting and popping you.
adamtheheretic 106 Posted July 1, 2012 +1' date=' but restrict it to a max of 2 per player so it does not get abused.[/quote']I agree with this, the mule thing would still be possible but I'm more affected by me being in a different timezone to my group so I have to get on much later than I want to start playing and stay up late or miss out on loot and have to find my way to them alone. As long as they made the loot seperate and not cross account it would not be that big an issue. You would still be able to load gear into a tent you had on your other character as anyone can acess anyone elses tent currently essentially making one character a farm bot and the other your backup which would take alot of the danger away from the game but honestly who cares....I think people put too much thought into preserving a state of misery in gaming so they can claim how hardcore they are while ignoring the aspect of fun which should always take center stage.
