DayZ SA: How To Change Your Name | DayZ Standalone Tips

This is a question still being thrown out on the steam community forums so thought I'd help spread this simple method - How to change your in-game name. (Yes my character is Asian. This is how I roll.)

 

In a patch they changed your username from being tied to your steam account name to being a name exclusive to DayZ. You will have noticed that it has probably changed to your real name because it pulled your DayZ name from whatever your windows account name is.

 

If your like me and you want to use your in-game call sign, e.g Blue Collarhero - you can very easily change this by going to your main menu and left clicking the name in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. It now changes to a text box where you can change it. This is pretty useful, you can change your name a few times and you will keep your character, I've tested this a few times and its safe. Its good that its still a  popular because it means that DayZ Standalone is still receiving new players, which is a good sign so I hope this helps someone out there!
