game "not responding" when I click play or choose a server

have 60 hours in and all of a sudden this weekend I can't play anymore.  So the game loads,(slower than normal)... I click the alpha ok button.   I see my geared up character, but when I click either play or the server, it goes to the server list screen and instantly freezes.  birds are still chirping etc.  I have to ctrl alt delete and open task manager to force close it... It says "not responding"  ... I switch it to experimental and it worked....kinda.   controls were wierd and it crashed 5 min into the game....The last thing I can remember possibly being installed was the newest geforce experience for my video card....any help would be appreciated
