rapst0r@aol.com 1 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Hi, i think the server list should be more detailed and should show the ip adress and hoster (if viable). The reason is, that u instantly can report servers and dont need to search for it or write just to all hosters. I think its a stupid way to write all hosters about a report, because first, u have to write an email and a mail in the abuse center @ fragnet (my email wasnt processed after 4 days). Second reason is, you only have the ip in the config (last server joined), but u dont know which hoster it is.Maybe the devs can work together with the hosters and if its not possible to show the hoster name directly ingame, maybe the hoster / admins here in the forum can public the IPs, that the people can just copy the ip in to their cache and use browser search function (CTRL+F). I think it is a big problem, that so much people buy a server which is connected to the main hive but dont follow the rules. U get kicked, server is locked, they write in the servermessage "only friendly" and all this nonsense.greetz Edited October 11, 2014 by BigBashBoon
Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Do they not show IP's for SA servers in the Steam recent server list? Go to steam main.Select view tab.Select servers.Should show you a list of recent servers in order you played with IP's. Regards, Steak. rapst0r@aol.com 1 Posted October 12, 2014 nope.u can look into ini file (last server joined) or klick ingame on details and need to typewrite.but thats not the biggest problem. the biggest problem is, that u dont know which hoster owns the ip.
doomdude1 48 Posted November 9, 2014 Bump and support. The way I see it, it's not a great amount of work to either:- Add the server host after the name of the server, not editable by the user- Add the server host in the server details. In the spirit of Alpha and testing, I think it's greatly beneficial for everyone just keep reporting servers connected to the public hive that have two twelve year old admins who constantly kick anyone trying to connect. I also am too embarrassed to keep sending emails with a list of 15 servers to server providers, because there is no possible way of differentiating between server providers, if the user changes the name.
