Installed correctly I think... but game doesn't start?

I heard about this game on a Podcast and I had to have it.... I bought Arma 2 and installed everything correctly (I think) following the guide on here. It shows the @dayz on the arma screen but for some reason I cannot get into a game. When I click on a server it loads like its going to work I get to the loading screen with the tanks and then I can see all the players in that server I even heard them talking at one point. It then after a few moments just dumps me back into the server list..? Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I really am bummed because this looks so awesome to play... any help would be greatly appreciated..

when it dumps you back to the server list, does it say waiting for character to create in the background?

same thing happened to me and re-installing battleye fixed it

Maybe the files need to be updated.... or there are too many people playing... But I have tried games that are 20/50 and it shows waiting for host for like 1 second... then kicks me to the server menu... :(

yup, that's exactly what it did for me... I re-installed battleye and hey presto, problem solved

give it a try if you haven't already :)
