northofnowhere 39 Posted October 19, 2014 I have recently broken my legs, and even just ruined shoes I was wearing. I have not died from this in a very long time, although that used to happen frequently in previous builds. The only thing's I try to do in my normal play is wear pristine or worn boots and pants and play on servers with under a hundred ping. I also do not keep anything of value in my pants, and carry a spare pair. I won't go back up stairs, such as an ATC or FIrehouse, until any ruined pants or boots are replaced. Good luck friend. sachad 1016 Posted October 21, 2014 It's linked to server desync, I stopped getting this problem when I started joining servers with only 50-60 ping. Not 100% guaranteed, but it worked for me Maybe that is why I have only ever once had the random staircase death bug? I only play on servers below 50 ping. OrganGrinder 89 Posted October 21, 2014 I hear you, I just glitched through a balconyrailing and died, just by raising my weapon. That reminds me of a while back (0.48) where I desynced through the wall on the middle stairway platform in an ACT and was gently plopped on to the ground behind the building. darthbane67 92 Posted October 21, 2014 Every time i play and get well geared, i get food, ammo, weapons, and clothes. My game ends with my screen going black and saying my leg is broken. I am guessing i am falling through the floor. This is a real buzz kill I get you will die but to the game messing up sucks. Is there a way to avoid this other than not going above ground level. Or is there a more stable server then others, can i do something to help on my end of the connection. Anything at all I enjoy playing but it makes me not want to play when that happens. Don't go too high in certain buildings or anywhere that's not a mountain from my experience getting to high causes something weird with dysnc/load/save character and it kills your guy.
