Character Progress Reset in every server

I don't know why in the world this bug and it's solution are no-where to be found on the internet, but oh well:

 

Whenever I play Dayz (Epoch) Mod, on an official server (I filter them out with DayZ Commander), my character keeps resetting.

I can't make any progress this way. I've checked every damn box in Dayz Commander, it just doesn't help at all.

 

I can't be the only person/newb experiencing this. The one who provides me the golden tip or solution will get cookies, lots o' chocolate cookies from me.

 

It happens on every friggin' server I join in the list below. What am I doing wrong?

 

Does the server have to have the same difficulty? (regular/recruit/veteran)

Do I have to play a certain amount of time before I can log out? (20 minutes/1 hour)

Do I have to Abort, but wait a certain time period before I disconnect??
