Unable to choose character

Since the last update, my Character popup menus are blank: I cannot select skin color, sex, shirt color etc.  Additionally, my character is not shown in the DayZ main screen.

 

Anyone else has experienced this?

Did you wait long enough? Sometimes it takes a while for the char to appear etc.

its because you have tweaked your cfg and prifle cfgs.

ok then you disabled shadows? or some of the graphics settings. if you click "restore defaults" then it will be ok

(On a related note: how do you attach images in-line to posts?  I tried to specify the image URL but I get an error saying that this image extension is not valid.  It's a simple jpg.)

Have you tried...

 

1) Deleting your config files and allowing the game to create new ones?

2) Verifying your game cache via Steam?

My game cache is ok.  I'll try to delete the config files.  Can you tell me the names of the files I should delete?
