Zombie Milkman 167 Posted September 21, 2014 (edited) My first challenge ended weakly with only a few people willing to sacrifice their kitted out uber-toons for some experimental play last time, seeing how many zeds they could get to aggro around with them. This time, I've got something a little more challenging.... How many zombies can you trap in a structure at the same time? Seriously, this is a big deal to me as it brings a whole new dynamic to the game. You don't want to shoot to cause more zombies, you don't want to drop that pristine 2nd rifle to get your axe because you know you are going to lose it, again... so you are screwed my friend. But wait, if you run into a building and it/they follow you, maybe you can run out fast enough and close the door. Maybe still they won't glitch through the door! Think of the fun you will have watching from that hilltop as other players approach that door (police station? Oooh, +5 points, hahaha) Today I trapped two in one building which really isn't all that big of a deal.... but what's the limit? With my 1st person server toon I intend to find out. Please add your story here, or join me in my quest and do this as well. My ground rules: No clothing or equipment bags except a brightly colored hat. That includes no shirt/pants. I am going with a red hat.No weapons. This is an all-in thing, or nothing at all.Extra credit: occasionally sing the "I am Heneree the eighth I am" song into your mic just in case someone is nearby watching with a very confused look on their face. Crazy? Stupid? Insane? UBETCHA, but it has to be done. The gauntlet is cast. Give me a number, and tell me what building. How good are you really? Zombie Milkman 167 Posted September 21, 2014 I got my ass chewed off trying to lock 3 up in a narrow house. So far the best homes for this are the ones with a table in a back room I can do ring around the rosie with, or the very large warehouses. Tonight I am heading to Elektro to do just that. I think I can get over ten in a warehouse. The problem is the different ways they move, different speeds. Keep trying! Zombie Milkman 167 Posted September 23, 2014 So I trapped 6 zombies in the firehouse in the town south of Novo and I am waiting in the hills, watching, to see if someone opens that door up. xD 2 already escaped (I had 8) and I had to put them down for being bad zombies. I will probably get bored and log off, but trapping zombies in mass numbers is a lot of fun. And you can keep adding to the total though running around with that many every time you open that door... lol, easy to fubar. The other problem is that eventually one or two joggle their way out via glitching. I wonder how many I could get going> The server is a 1st person vet uban or something like that if you want to spring the trap. I half want to go back and see if they all stayed inside. He ended up giving me his sawn-off for killing my pet zeds, then helped me by aggroing zeds and bringing them round. Long story short, there are now about a dozen zeds trapped in the Vybor piano house. He's still on the server keeping watch, he said he'd start recording if people came by. Fingers crossed! Dude, sweet! Twelve is amazing and in the piano house no less. I am guessing you did multiple trips which had to be hard as the ones inside know you are coming. I have been using the big buildings but the big doors are easy for them to glitch through. I had one come up through the 2nd story floor in a firehouse. I want to trap zombies with you some time if you are into it. Shoot me a PM if so. This is like it's own little easter egg. One last question for the developers' benefit... Did you experience any lag when you had that many moving around and zeroed in on you? I had lag from 8 running around in a circle. Cue Benny Hill theme song. sachad 1016 Posted September 23, 2014 Well it wasn't easy, and I did get hit a few times, but we got lucky and managed to trap like 5 or 6 of them at the same time. I don't think I could have done it alone. Usually I would play bait, run into the house while he opened and shut the doors as needed. Nobody came, though... two guys in their underwear came past but they went right for the police station in town. As for lag, I did get some towards the end, but nothing major.
