i decided to upload this episode as a showcase for how much it takes the piss to kill a zombie in a zombie survival game.

 

your thoughts on the matter of what happens in the video is appreciated i personally think that many hits and a zombie still lives is personally taking the piss.

I experienced the same today.  The 0.49 patch has seriously botched the gameplay concerning fights against zombies.  It's just not possible that a female zombie takes 16 rounds of melee and a male one 50+ before kicking the bucket.  Oh, probably we shouldn't bother killing them anyway because they'll respawn nearby immediately and start tracking us again.

Well it didn't work.

It just showcased how bad you are at killing zombies. Not even the devs can fix that.

Practice circle-strafing and learn the strike point of your melee weapons.

I counted 15 hits to kill that first zombie with the crowbar. 14 body hits and 1 headshot (the last one, which killed it, if you hadn't gotten that headshot you would probably have had to spend a lot more time to kill that zombie). The crowbar has always been shit in this game, but its quite clear that you should not just mindlessly strike at the zombie, you should try to get headshots in. It would have taken far less hits for you to kill the zombie if you had only gotten headshots in. But generally you shouldn't bother with melee weapons until you get to the hoe/splitting axe level, which only requires to body hits to kill zombies.

 

Use fists until you find such weapons, because they are far better, as they are easier to get headshots with, and this knocks them out, and then it is just a short cycle of you continually bashing their brains in until they die.

definetely i still think its far too much though especially when the game is evolving more into pvp than pve
