Close door, break bones, fall unconcious bleed, aggro zombies.

Enter doorway, same thing. Close gate, same thing. Climb ladders, fall to death. Vault wall, here we go... Take cover behind stationary truck. Ooops. Turned a bit quickly in a tight hallway, bye bye bones.

This crushing has done much much much more harm than any sort of good for gameplay... Why is it even there?

For my bones sake... atleast TONE IT DOWN.

It will be toned down in next patch. Have you even checked the patch notes?

But yeah, this is why I currently carry 10 shots of morphine with me whenever I leave the coastal areas :|

lol its for realism... yes its a bit TOO easy but as paah says itll be tweaked coming up... i for one dont mind it being IN the game but id like to see ways to repair them more abundant since its easy to BREAK em but in RL situation you can jump and land 10 feet without a break... for that matter you can do 99% of this stuff without breakage.

fyi i currently have a broken bone on my toon but refuse to give up since ive finally found decent items lol... did a 10k crawl yesterday thru the woods... wow was that boring LOL

This is not about infected breaking your bones. It's about how everything seems to crush you and THEN break your bones, leave you bleeding and unconscious for completely idiotic reasons.

There's nothing about this in the patch notes.

Sure this might be a problem with the engine, but surely the consequences of "squishing" can be toned down.

Damn, if this is realistic for you then you must break bones climbing up stairs and closing doors. Were you diagnosed with osteoporosis at age 3 or something?

As far as doors and similar stuff are concerned, they have a fairly large range to be opened from, try using that extra room to avoid being crushed.

best one: Leave a gap between door and wire fencing, so if door opens, it pushes enemy into fence.

lol osiris you missed the realism comments point... he asked why it was in the game in the first place.

i didnt say breaking the bones that easily was for realism but for why its in the game at all is what i meant
