Waiting For Server Response

Date/Time: Any/All

What happened: Near-infinite wait time at "Waiting for server response" message.

Where you were: Between connecting to a server and playing the game.

What you were doing: Trying to connect to a server

Current installed version: 1.5.7

Server(s) you were on: Any/All

Your system specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2

GPU: Radeon HD 4870 512 MB

RAM: 2GB G.Skill DDR2

Game Versions: Arma II Free, Arma II: Operation Arrowhead (Steam)

Timeline of events before/after error:

Before:

1. Start game

2. Get errors: "Picture ca\ui\data\logo_arma2pmc_ca.paa not found" and "No entry 'bin\config.bin/RscInGameUI/UnitInfoSoldier/Background.type'."

3. Go to multiplayer server browser, choose server

3. Successfully connect to server, receiving data

After:

1. Wait for up to 2.5 hours, or give up and go do something else.

2. If successful, spawn with absolutely nothing, hear no sound, occasionally can't move.
