Some possible improvements

Hey guys,

I think the DayZ mod is a great idea, but what I've seen until now is a lot of potential not covered.

1. It's not really a coop. It's more a versus. And it's a bit annoying if some guys with weapons are just killing the guys without. Shouldn't it more be like "We work together against the Zombies"?

My suggestion for that: Set up a objective for all: For example: Reach the extraction area and flee out of the country. Then more would work together. Other way it not really has a point in my oppinion, it's just running around, shooting humans and zombies and doing... Actually nothing?

2. The spawn points at the water are just not logical. You can't swim without losing your equipment, but you've got flashlights, bandage and painkillers. So where you come from? Why at water?

Why not make a wreck of an airplane or some choppers where you spawn with other survivors.

3. As far as I recognized the only loadout you get at beginning is a flashlight, bandage and painkillers.

So how am I supposed to act with it? In some houses I only find ammo fur guns, but I have no gun. Then twenty zombie get upon my ass and I have to abort and get in again, to get rid of them because otherwise they just would follow me ten kilometres.

Suggestion: Why not just give the player at least a map, a watch, a compass. What I want with this flashlight?

Why not make the spawn points close to a military base where you can find basic equipment easily.

All the villages are flooded from zombies, how you're supposed to get new equipment?

Then also:

4. Why if there are dead soldiers everywhere lying, and destroyed tanks and military bases... Well why are there no weapons? Where are the weapons of those guys?

Why just random weapons without ammo somewhere in the garden of a village of three houses? Which guy would place a M1911 in his gardenhouse? Which guy would forget about Ammo?

5. As said I don't get what you're supposed to do when the zombies spot you. They just follow you and you run away. At night it's nearly impossible to see... So you don't know where you run to (or in which obstacle you get stuck). ; )

Though it's out of realismus purposes, remember that our guy sprinting also not holds flashlight at 12, he's shaking it up and down. Is that realistic?

Would I shake my flashlight up and down sprinting in the night with zombie's behind me?

Shortcut: This has definately potential, but get it a bit more realistic & balanced & coop minded. Until now it's more like everyone kills each other because of a coke. Main objective??? I don't know?? I met many not knowing what they're supposed to do. Why not anywhere small briefing or small notes what to do... ? Why not final extraction area on other side of country, kilometres away from spawn points? Or why not some fortresses you can take and hold...

Just some suggestions,
