The whole mind game thing with Dayz is really fascinating to me.

The more gear a player gets, the higher the stakes, and the more stress and paranoia.

 

I've been playing long enough now (a few months) that I'm less concerned about getting killed and losing my gear.

I know enough about the game to make my way from scratch.

I'm not exactly complacent, but I do take more (considered) risks.

 

I made the decision early on that my play style would lean more towards 'hero' than murderer.

I've gotten pretty good at spotting and observing other players without them seeing me (gotta luv those binocs), and I never ambush them.
