Hello.

I've started playing this game 2 days ago and I love it. Well... except that I died today with an Alice Pack that I found inside a town :(

Is it normal to die with very good stuff pretty often?

Also, does server difficulty (Veteran/Regular) affect the gameplay in any way?

Depends on how you play the game. I tend to stick in the woods and only go into major cities occasionally to find a surplus of food and/or drinks. I like living in the woods, it enables me to hunt and survive in a true roleplay manner. Alice packs are more rare than other packs but you will find another one as long as you play. I've died with plenty of decent stuff and I just think to myself how fun it will be again to start over. (I enjoy starting over to an extent)

Yes it's quite common to die when you got awesome lewts; sometimes in the most random of places, like the other night, I was in the middle of no where, just 3 of us and a million and one trees and some pretty thick bush, and my team bump into some dood just crouched under a tree about 10 foot away.. lots of shouting and confusion begins, slugs to the face hurt =(

Just don't get too attached to you're gear.. you'll find it all again next time.

I prefer playing on recruit servers if I can. It's easier to spot zombies (as they get this white circle around them if they are behind walls/hills. Occasionally green circles appear and they are other survivors. I tend to stay away and watch their movements to see if they have a primary weapon on their pack or in hand because that means they can/will kill you.
