Despawning dead bodies

A quick question: Does bodies still despawn after a short amount of time? Will it be like that in the future as well?

Player bodies despawn in (10?) minutes after dying. I'd really like to see bodies staying again. Not even zombie ones, just players.

It's a little longer than 10 I think, like maybe 15.  My friend had time to run back to the nwaf before his or the people we killed despawned, and that's typically some where in that time frame.

When your friends take your gear and place it next to the body...it stays till server restart^^ So who cares?

With the way things are really messed up lately I am surprised the bodies are staying 10 minutes.

It's 10 minutes unless a player is idle nearby. If a player is nearby, the corpse won't despawn at all.
