Zoris' Day One Tips!

Recommended Posts

This wont be long. No worries about TL : DR ( too long didnt read )

1. Know your body

Make sure you're familiar to your controls. V to vault over fences...Scrolling UP/DOWN on the middle mouse to select items/actions...Sizing your audibility and detection against zombies and not walking over rocks.

2. Find yourself a weapon

You spawn on the shore defenseless, your first objective should be to locate the nearest largest city and head towards it. Hatchets are extremely useful in melee and serve as a huge bonus to food/blood regeneration in later uses with Matches and the Hunting Knife.

When your in the big city, scavenge the houses for a reliable gun. Your offhand weapon is very important, if not, more important than your main. This weapon will serve as your zombie-killer and threat detractor.

3. Gain Resources

Food/Water : Bring extras of each and place them into a pack. Hopefully you were lucky enough to check the alleyways, shop market, houses for a bigger backpack. Bloodpacks and Morphine/Bandages/Painkillers go a long way.

Though I must say, finding a hunting knife, matches and a hatchet is key...as cooked meat gives you 800 Blood per serving.

Cook a cow and thats 6400 blood!

4. Understand the Inventory System

This mod/game is all about organization. Main hand weapons take up 10 slots without ammo and Sidearms take 5 slots without ammo.

Make sure you learn how to move items seamlessly from your main inventory to your backpack

Right clicking on several onscreen inventory items may grant you additional options that you may not have known.

5. Know your Weapon

Many people have several preferences for weapons. Make sure you know what weapon you want, the best effective range to protect yourself but maximize your damage, and the caliber of ammunition.

Revolver ammo uses the same ammunition as M1911. Simply right-clicking the ammo in your G (Main Inventory) will allow you to convert it to useable ammo in either gun your prefer. Same goes for shotguns and so on...

6. Dont be an A$$

Killing survivors is the last thing you need to focus on. Its much harder to find a friend in this messed up world than it is to find night-vision goggles or a L856 thermal scoped weapon.

If you wish to become a bandit, then you face your own advantages and consequences.

7. Don't Fall in Love

This game is in it's Alpha development phase. Items are disposable. Just because you have lost everything, doesn't mean its the end. If you followed #6 you'll realize that servers/updates/implementations can destroy items...but not friends.

I'm just having a stab in the dark here, But I'm guessing the people that are playing this game are not OAP's that like tinkering in their allotments.

You missed number 8

8, First Boil the Egg, shelled - makes it easier to suck..
