Hey guys im still new to DayZ and was just wondering if i can change my name that shows when i am playing?

I believe you just create a new profile in the main menu of the game.

Yep, Player Profile. You can change your name and look (face and skin color, I believe) but you might have to make a different profile or edit an existing one.

ALL names are tied to your ID, so you can't make a new character. Your existing one's name just changes.

When you die, everything but your name and possibly your humanity (number based on your murders, you can't see it) is reset.
