Guest Posted August 22, 2014 I don't know what's going on. The respawn button is greyed out all the time. I thought you could respawn anytime you wanted, not just when you die?It's so frustrating being completely and utterly lost without any chance of dying so you respawn at least somewhere near a random town or whatever. You can only respawn if you go unconscious or you die. But there are ways to commit suicide, for example jump off a high place and fall. Given the fact you were running straight and not in circles. Which should be impossible in DayZ. You meant you were "figuratively" running for two hours. And yeah, sometimes it feels like a long time before seeing some sign of civilisation. Try to use the sun for navigation. That helps much. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) Guess I should really learn the cyrillic script to at least identify the names of towns, heh. But I still don't like the idea of using a map on the internet. On the other hand, when I spawn somewhere in the "mainland" and would like to go either die on the airfield or check one of the cities, I am basically completely lost because I have no idea which direction to go.I guess I should keep an eye for compasses at the very least.The game is much more difficult than I thought (and I expected it to be, heh) :D P.S.
