Frequently frame drops or slowdowns since 0.47 exp & stable (still in 0.48) SOLVED !

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

since 0.47 exp Update No. 2 (-> the one that solved the freezes) came out me and other players were plagued by frequently (every few seconds) frame drops which lasts for 2-3 seconds independent of the location the player was.

So at the moment exp AND stable players are affected by this bug, the 0.48 patch didn't solved the problem at least not for all players. I saw this issue at some twitch.tv and YT-videos recently too

Yesterday I tried some different video configurations and solved finally (!) this horrible problem for me:

Configure -> Video -> Textures -> Video Memory -> AUTO

I just changed the Video Memory from 1024 or 2048 MB to AUTO and the frequently frame frops were gone. I really hope this helps other peoples who have the same problem also. Tell me if this workaround works for you too.

Sorry for my English I am not a native speaker^^

EDIT: Sorry, I was to hasty because changing Video Memory to "Auto" don't solve the problem with frame drops, it only attenuates the drops. Seems only the developers can really solve this issue with an update.

I've been having this same issue. At first it seemed like it was worse on some servers and better on others. I'll try this tonight.

Probably you are right Grindstone, some servers seems better than others. Both together misled me too the supposition that the problem is solved :( Still waiting for a fix from the devs...

This bug is so horrid, I am bothered after these many weeks with it.
