 I personally see no difference at all between bipod and no-bipod aiming characteristics. (I tested only AKM and AK101. Apparently one cannot attach a bipod to Mosin or anything else, except maybe the rare M4). Can some knowledgeable people confirm or disprove my observation?

At the moment there is not much of a difference. They are still working on server optimizations and 64 bit servers. Once they have that done, they can then implement ballistics, bullet trajectory, weapon statistics, etc... They still have issues with the scopes. One instance is if it's raining and you look through the scope you see no rain. There's lots of bugs and yet to be implemented items. But if you feel the need for it to be fixed, report it in the feedback link on the dayz website.
