Failed to start game (missing executable)

Hey guys,

                So i got a new pc, installed DayZ SA on my steam as per usual and it worked fine, then the next time i tried to log in i did updates, and i got this message when attempting to launch the game: "Failed to start game (missing executable), which is then followed by this link: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8676-EFLX-7453&l=english 

 

 

The steps in the link did nothing, I also tried reinstalling twice to no avail, I verified the game cache, deleted all of the dayz files and reinstalled on my other HDD and nothing. As a last resort my friend logged in on his steam acc to play and the same thing happened initially then after a reinstall again he could load the game but no servers appeared. 

 

I hope someone out there knows how to combat this problem.

I've got the same problem.. any help out there.

 

The exe is there, i deleted it and verified.  Still no joy.

 

OP did you fix it?
