Give Tents/Vehicles Inventory Space Counters

Recommended Posts

There is no reason to argue against it as it is a feature that makes the game better. Anyone saying it would not be needed is clearly a troll, a tryhard or a retard... or most likely all three.

'Your basically saying the same as lets not have a car to get us somewhere quicker because we have legs.'

When the hell did I ever say, 'we shouldn't have vehicles in game.'?

But seriously though, they're only good for storage. Having a vehicle is a commodity, and in most cases, it's subject to theft. There are three vehicles that are tactically colored....three. This means that someone will quickly find the other vehicles (I personally can see the URAL, even in dense forest coverage in a valley, from 500-700 meters away.)

It's indeed a more "common sense" approach to walk on foot to a city, village, or industrial complex. Vehicles make noise, are brightly colored, and generally stand out even when parked 100-300 meters within tree-lines. If the developers add camo netting or paint cans to the game so that you can change how a vehicle is perceived, that would benefit us all greatly.

they dont disappear' date=' they fall to the ground (in vehicle and tent cases.)

and if an item disappears from your backpack because you're trying to stuff more into it than it can handle, it's your own damn fault. it has a counter on it for christ' sake.

id like to see the backpack dissapear, what do you think happens when you force things into one? it rips, and becomes useless.

one smart-ass remark deserves another right alex?

How interesting to start talking about tents and vehicles...when I try to put more things in my backpack then the backpack can handle, they dont magicly disappear :)

A smart ass remark to a smart ass remark obv deserves another smart ass remark.

'How interesting to start talking about tents and vehicles...when I try to put more things in my backpack then the backpack can handle, they dont magicly disappear'

'Then the backpack can handle?' Then? Are you time-traveling?

And actually they do technically disappear, because after your dumb ass tears the backpack, you have no way of carrying all the items you previously had in the pack; so you leave them behind, and another person will more than likely pick your stuff up.

Like I said, I'd like to see a backpack rip and become useless if you stuff too much into it. I mean seriously, you have a counter for that, right? How can you fuck something up, KNOWING how many slots something has?

Which is irritating me to ask the question again, do you need your hand held THAT much? And what if they do add a counter to vehicles, and it just so happens to do what the backpack does (delete things if the inventory is filled?) Are you gonna' bitch about that too?

Just like the backpack, what realistically happens when you overload a vehicle....it breaks down due to weight, and you need to repair it again. You have to leave all your things on the ground or in the car, someone steals it, and it "magically" disappears.

Let's keep these smart-ass remarks going Robo, I really enjoy the rebuttals I come up with.

I didn't say you did. I said same as saying, I was using an analogy! Where did you get your education?!

A place where I was taught the difference between "your," and "you're."

An analogy is a comparison between two things that are somewhat the same, to a degree. How did inventory slot display, and my opposition to such a feature, warrant a comparison to remove vehicles completely?

It's incredibly ironic that you ask ME, where I received my education, when you don't even know the definition of a simple word with only 4 vowels.

I agree, but in this game, you dont leave them behind, they magicly disappear (maybe to a other dimension :O). And btw, how stupid are our characters that they cant estimate how much stuff fits in tents?

And I'm enjoying this to, since having a counter to how many items can go into a tent is just a very good suggestion, and calling it "being hand held" is just laughable.

How...realistic btw...I put something in my backpack...but it doest fit...so it magicly disappears because its suddenly stolen. If you are either high or drunk, tell now, it'd explain a lot :)

You'd actually be surprised by how many people buy/are given something and attempt to put it into a backpack, knowing it won't fit. But they just have to try.....

But, to answer the question about "disappearing" turning into "stolen;" even if it didn't disappear, you can't really fit it into your inventory or backpack....so you'd have to leave it behind anyway. It would technically be "yours," but since you couldn't take it with you, someone else grabs it. Disappearing items are cheap, but hey, it beats the alternative of some "bandit camper" or any other "asshole, cod, pk-er" taking it....hehehe. Those monikers always make me laugh.

lol, that was gold

Stop being reasonable, it ruins my theory that you're entirely a fuckwit.

Realistically, you don't overload a vehicle because it's immediately apparent from a casual glance that it is already full. You don't need to go and count the number of objects. God I hope you're a troll.

Okay, now I'm sure you're a troll, because he used "your" correctly, as in "your education".

It's reasonable to expect that the person behind you, who you are travelling with, could pick it up. It's also reasonable to expect that, having made a mistake in your backpack arrangement, you could change your decision about what to carry. But then again, wouldn't want our hands held too much.

'Okay, now I'm sure you're a troll, because he used "your" correctly, as in "your education."'

Are you COMPLETELY sure about that? Hmmm? Might want to re-read it...just sayin'.

'Your basically saying....' Does that look right? Nope. Perhaps you couldn't pull your head out of YOUR ass long enough to read his post to me. Indeed, you need to stop trying to sound smart and pithy, it really doesn't suit you.

(Yesterday 12:48 PM)SepticTank Wrote: 'Your basically saying the same as lets not have a car to get us somewhere quicker because we have legs.'

That's what he quoted me as saying, which, I didn't. I held your hand on that one, looked like you needed assistance.

P.S:Also, who said anything about being apart of a group, so that someone else you know could pick it up? You know what they say when you assume, right? It makes an ass out of you, and me. Fortunately for me though, I'm not a titty baby that can't read and comprehend what others are typing. Perhaps, like I've said earlier in this post, you should invest some time researching, before replying to me and showing your ass, it's a really big target.

EDIT: I've caught three things on here since it was first posted, wouldn't want to fall victim to my own Nazism, now would I?

So, you're telling me that, if I place a chunk of iron/forged steel that's 5 feet wide, 3 feet tall and 8 feet in length in the back of a URAL....it's not full (because there would still be room above the metal slab?) That begs the question to be asked...what the hell is your conceptual visualization of "full?" The shocks/suspension of the vehicle would sag, sure, but wouldn't you wonder just how much more weight it could handle before the vehicle breaks? This is why I said "weight," not inventory space.
