Stuck on wait for host - Have installed dayz epoch and normal mod

Hi everyone,

Every time I try to join a server it takes me to wait for host and no matter how long I wait, I cant get into the game. I know Im joining the right servers as my friends are already in them. Please help I really want to play dayz mod. Ive opened and played Arma II and Arma II Operation Arrowhead.

 By chance, do you hear audio (birds, waves, wind)? When I get a similar problem I just "Left Shift"&"numpad -", type "flush" Hope it helps.
