please help.. cant play dayz (dont know whats wrong)

Hi guys, so I just recently bought DayZ and I was very excited to play... ,but it is literally impossible to play with the random fps drops. Its really choppy and its really hard to play. I can run heavy games like Crisis 2 on max settings but I just can't play DayZ smoothly. Everything lags and the whole map loads sooo slowly, like you can literally see random trees popping out as you walk because it takes forever to load the whole map.. Then my game just freezes (I can still hear the music), the screen goes black, and I'm back to my desktop. (I have to go to steam and press play and do everything again). I'm not very good with computers but I heard that DayZ uses CPU instead of your graphics card? My fan gets really loud (it normally doesn't unless I play really heavy games). I've updated my drivers, followed tips on youtube, and I also reinstalled the game.

intel i7 3.3ghz

8 gb ram (only using 3.3gb because I have Windows 7 32 bit)

hd radeon 6950 sapphire
