Anyone else get major and sudden FPS drops?

So yeah, playing on hardcore for a bit of yolo in Berazino.

 

Getting really irritating fps drops that seen to correlate with players in the area, basically makes the game unplayable and only seems to occur when I have been playing for a while, leading me to suspect cooling issues. Either that or my hardrive (which is on its way out) is bottlenecking my otherwise reasonable system. I understand Arma isn't very well optimised, but surely my specs should run the game with no problems.

 

Anyone else having this issue?

 

Specs: XFX AMD 6870 Graphics card (HD-687A-ZHFC)

8 Core AMD 8150 8 core processor.

6GB RAM

 

Running Windows 7 64 Bit.

I came here to report exactly the same issue.

 

AMD 6300 (6core @3.8ghz)

ATI 6770 (1GB DDR5)

RAM 8GB DDR3 1600

SSD (with DAYZ on it)

 

recently i could run around with 30-50fps (30 in cities).

since 2days ago i get 18 fps on 1080p. strange because i put it on LOW. 18fps. HIGH 17/18fps. (something is choking the fps)

The Engine is not complete modified yet.

It looks like the engine does not use ur full hardwarepower.

Sometimes i get only 15 fps while the GPU works only at 25-40% You can´t do anything yet.

In wilderness its different as you can see in this Picture.

My gpu works at 99% at mainmenu. Its really strange.

But its an Alpha wich makes still fun  ;)
