DayZ Starts through steam

So, my DayZ launches through steam, but I can't tell how to change it so that it DOESN'T launch through steam, due to the latest DayZ Commander update. If anyone can tell me how to change this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

was going to say, just uncheck the "Launch from Steam" box. but ive realised that its not there anymore. people have told me to use the most up to date launcher "Dayz Launcher". Ive been using it recently and it seems to work fine. i think you should try it maybe it, could fix your problem?

I've installed it, but I don't want the game to launch through Steam. I see no option to change it so that it doesn't.

You can't, Arma 2 is completely linked with Steam now due to the hamespy shutdown, so you can't play without it.
