Reporting Bugs

Hi Guys,

 

I'm trying to report a bug using the procedure advised. But that seems to have bugs in it too, I can't create account or log a bug request. 

 

The Bug I'm experiencing - Maybe you guys here can help me fix it! When I login, find a weapon of any kind, lets say an Axe. I find a zombie, I kill it with said Axe, then that's it, I can't use ANY weapon EVER again. I can't shoot a gun, I can't punch, swing axe, I can't do shit. Literally everytime I kill ONE zombie this happens. I can recreate this successfully everytime I TRY to play the game. Don't tell me to press space to raise my weapon, I know what I'm doing and I know this is a bug, a very shitty one. This happens if I change to a different axe (pristine) it happens if I die, and start a new character. There is no way around this I have literally tried everything, including changing the attack button to a different key. No joy. 

 

I bought this game in december, decided to take a break, now that i come back I can't swing a weapon, random zombie noises keep happening when no zombies are around, invisible people opening cans of Pepsi etc.

 

I know its in Alpha, I know I should lower my expectations but this bug is so game breaking..... I can't believe it. The other thing is I don't see anybody else reporting it so maybe it's just me.

Any feedback at all would be appreciated.

Yeah thats a known issue they are working on. I think logging out and back in is the only available workaround at the moment. And yes, it's an annoying bug, so i hope they get it done soon.

Yup, this is the patch notes description:

Known issues:

Player can in rare circumstances enter a state in which they cannot attack and must relog

Only happened to me twice since 0.47 - dunno why it happens so often for you. Only thing that works afaik is that relog that the patch notes mention.

Thanks guys, I actually seen that comment in Known issues. But since it said 'Rare circumstances' i presumed it was a different bug. As mine is 100% consistent, it happens EVERY time without fail! Logging out and back in is a pain, especially considering just now i had 2 zombies chasing me, killed 1, then my weapons lock so i cant do anything! Time to logout and back in to kill the 2nd zombie!

 

I'm happy to provide any additional info if it helps fix the issue!

Do you guys get the Sound problem one too, where random zombie noises keep scaring the shit out of u, even though no zombies are nearby? Literally nearlly shit my pants as a result on multiple occassions. I also see Petrol stations randomly blow up without anyone nearby.

 

The game is fairly mental i have to say lol

Aye, the unloved sound bug. We all have the pleasure of that! I think it'll remain in the game until they do their proper overhaul of the sound system - no reason to spend time patching a system that they'll be replacing anyway.

I couldn't reproduce the can't-attack bug like you describe. Killed plenty of zombies since .47 came out, and only had it twice.

Frankly I wouldn't know which one to add your information to ... so many reports of the same bug in there.

Ok at least I know I'm not the only one getting the Sound bug. Guess I should just give it another break until they make it a bit more stable! Thanks for the replies :)
