I think that crafting mechanica must be improved.

I played a Warcraft 3 mod Jungle troll tribes, its like Dayz, but it was 5 years ago... and on Strategy engine...

They had a BIG MENU of crafting!

so the goal was: search map for specific ingredients, and combine them!

At start i think it will look like getting some *Unique items as a reward* so how it works:

U find a scheme of crafting of an airplane, and in scheme u find ingredients, and then u find those ingredients, and build an airplane!

So to craft unique items u need a RECIPE!

that's how u will need to craft specific potions etc.

U will be able to craft Unique weapons!

these just examples!

sorry for my bad english and explanation.!

THE IDEA IS EASY! find a scheme, gather materials, and combine, and u get a BINGO! i think players will like to spend thir time findnig special items...

It;s like farmin a boss in World of Warcraft for specific loot...

here i sned some recipes from that warcraft 3 mod, maybe it will give u better view on suggestion!

!!!Bear Skin Coat: Jungle Bear Hide, Jungle Bear Hide, Jungle Bear Hide

!!!Steel Spear: Steel Ingot, Stick/Bone

!!!Transport Ship: Stick, Stick, Clay Ball, Clay Ball, Hide, Hide

it's a bit other history timeline...

but hope u understand the idea!

IMAGINE HOW COOL IT WILL BE!

Dude it was a helper comment

This is a mod for a mil sim saying you play as a wood elf in a pink leotard isn't going to help you in anyway :p

lol no!

it was a 12 players map for 5-6 hours

4 teams 3 trolls each, build a base, farm items, and then FIGHT EACH OTHER! it was awesome

Crafting - key to win!

DAYZ must have a supre craftign engine!
