Persistent Items Query

Recommended Posts

Hi, this is just a question i have with the new 'total Persistence' system being trailed in experimental. How will loot now be removed from the servers? We have a large influx of new loot at every server restart, before this was offset by old loot being 'cleared out' at the restart so that over time a kind of steady state was reached regarding the amount of loot in the servers. So now that they have removed the 'loot sink' but have kept the 'loot source' how is the amount of loot not going to simply grow indefinitely? Obviously the devs are not going to let that happen so what i'm asking is, if they have stopped items being wiped on a server restart, what new 'loot sink' will they implement to keep the loot levels steady?

I just overheard Hicks on his stream talking about how items get flagged for removal on a server after a certain period of time.
